Requirements for Membership
  • A permanent teaching certificate valid in a Canadian province;
  • A university degree recognized by the College;
  • Active or retired service as a teacher or administrator under the employ of a Canadian authority;
  • Involvement in educational, professional and community activities.

Associate Membership
    This category of membership exists to allow individuals under special circumstances to actively support the College as members. Associate Members will be accepted only on the recommendation of a chapter of the College.

Associate Student Membership
    To qualify for Associate Student Membership, candidates must be enrolled in a program of studies leading to a degree and teacher certification. Candidates must be nominated by two Education Professors and one Member of the Canadian College of Teachers.
